The Saturday Fresh Food Box at 125th & Park is going strong! If you'd like a bag, we'll be out there today (Saturday, August 12) from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. ... and we have some extras!
WHAT'S IN A BAG?
6-8 locally grown items. Generally 1 type of fruit, 2 types of greens, and seasonal things. Today, there's nectarines, red-leaf lettuce, red cabbage, purple peppers, celery, gold bar zucchini & sweet corn.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$14 -- the best price around! We take cash, debit/credit, Health Bucks, Greenmarket Bucks, and SNAP/EBT.
WHERE IS IT?
Under the Metro-North tracks at 125th Street & Park Avenue. Look for the bright sunshine mural and we'll be under the tents.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU SELL?
Handsome Brook pasture-raised eggs ($4), Hot Bread Kitchen challah and multigrain ($4.50), Tremblay Apiary honey, Platte Creek Farm maple syrup, Maine Grains oatmeal, Full Sun cooking oils, Bronx Hot Sauce & more!
HOW TO SIGN UP?
Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday at 10 a.m. so I can add you to the list. OR, just walk over on Saturday and take your chances -- we ordered some extra bags for people who have not yet signed up.
